Four Points by Sheraton Galveston
Welcome to Four Points by Sheraton Galveston
Four Points by Sheraton Galveston stands as a practical lodging choice nestled along the iconic Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, Texas. Its location is unquestionably its highlight—just steps away from the vibrant Pleasure Pier, sandy beaches, and an array of restaurants and entertainment venues. Travelers seeking beach access and coastal attractions will find this hotel ideally placed for exploration without the need for transportation.
The hotel carries a modest rating of 3.4, reflecting a blend of guest experiences. Many visitors appreciate the clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and functional amenities, which provide a restful stay. The white linens and maintained fixtures contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Customer service garners particular praise, with front desk staff consistently going the extra mile—offering local dining coupons, assisting with special requests, and furnishing a friendly welcome.
However, Four Points by Sheraton Galveston is not without its shortcomings. Some guests note issues such as dated bathroom mold, mechanical quirks like stubborn door latches and less-than-ideal elevator conditions, and occasional sightings of small insects in common areas. Shuttle service to the cruise port has reportedly become unavailable, which may inconvenience travelers planning a seamless transit to maritime departures.
Despite these imperfections, the hotel fulfills the expectations of visitors seeking a comfortable, no-frills base close to Galveston's main attractions. It offers excellent proximity for beachgoers and families looking to immerse themselves in local entertainment like the Pleasure Pier and souvenir shopping. Breakfast service is characterized by attentive staff and adequate options, providing a pleasant start to the day.
Ultimately, Four Points by Sheraton Galveston embodies a balance between value and convenience. It does not aspire to lavish luxury but instead delivers a straightforward, clean, and service-oriented experience. For travelers prioritizing location and ease over opulence, it holds considerable appeal and offers a dependable place to rest before adventures along the Texas Gulf Coast.

With all the bad reviews posted I was very anxious with my choice to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. I get it, it’s not a super fancy luxurious hotel. My main stay was for the beach and pleasure pier experience so the location is excellent walking distance to beach, pleasure pier, entertainment, restaurants. I had no experience with seeing any bugs in the hotel as others had stated. Room was clean, no rusting in bathroom. Bedding did have some stains but I honestly don’t know if they were there prior or caused by my family. Housekeeping came right up after my request for more towels on the first day. The 2nd day I did have to call front desk to remind them of my request from an hour ago for more toilet paper. No housekeeper visited the room for a clean up so we took out our own trash.. but then again maybe I was suppose to request service so that’s on me plus I stayed during Labor Day weekend so I will give the staff some slack for how busy they were. Price of stay was kind of high for a basic hotel stay but As I mentioned earlier I stayed during Labor Day weekend so that played a huge toll on increased pricing. Overall the location and great customer service make up for the few complaints. Seating was full during our last morning for breakfast. The Assistant manager Brooke went out of her way to make a spot for my family and I to enjoy our breakfast even though it was in the pool area outdoors it was nice to be able to sit & eat at a table. She also greeted guests as they entered and exit the building. Bartender and breakfast staff are friendly and kind as well. Btw Breakfast is just a grab and go, Cereal/milk, waffle maker, cereal bars, frozen breakfast sandwich, bagel, yogurt toast, yogurt, apple/orange, coffee/tea, juice etc.
First off, Stephanie at breakfast was amazing. She was helpful, nice, and on top of the busy breakfast room. Great way to start our morning! But... We booked the room thinking we would have a shuttle to the cruise port and now that's not an option. And... The door to our room wouldn't shut without lifting and slamming it, the faucet in the bathroom was about twisted off of the sink and there were stains on the towels and bath rug.
After reading some negative reviews I decided to take a chance and hope for the best, as my 1-night stay was impromptu. Am I glad I did! Lovely clean room with 2 queen beds. The surfaces of counters, dresser, chair nightstand, etc looked clean. The white bedding was welcoming and the beds were so comfortable. AC worked without complaint. Bathroom had linens for the 2 of us along with toiletry items. Stayed on a Saturday night and was not disturbed by any noise of other guests. Breakfast was sufficient with satisfactory choices. Pool was open, clean, and in use. Shuttle available to airport. Parking lot well-lit at night and spacious. Hotel is located at a convenient intersection right across from the beach. Easy to walk to gift shops, restaurants, and very close to Pleasure Pier; turn to the left and enjoy quieter beach and shoreline walking. The view was beautiful! Staff was excellent, friendly whether the front desk or the housekeeping.
Was a bit worried about staying here because of some of the recent negative/poor reviews but I didn't experience that really. room was nice and clean, pretty standard for a 2 bed room. Didn't encounter any of the roaches or crickets or whatever on the second floor but did see a couple in common areas on ground floor. They seemed more like crickets than roaches to me. Proximity to Pleasure Pier was fantastic, complimentary breakfast was enough, yeah seating was limited but you could find somewhere to sit, it worked. Staff were nice and not always on their phones like some people complained.
I stayed two weeknights in a balcony room. Everything was clean, comfortable, and working perfectly. I read some of the negative reviews before arriving, they made me second guess myself and I got worried! I was so happy to find a great room with a wonderful view, no bugs, no mold. The only thing I can't comment on is the breakfasts because I always eat later in the morning.
Loved the location of this place!!! It is right across from Pleasure Pier and the best souvenir shop too! Absolutely loved how spacious my room was. However, upon taking a shower I noticed that the shower had mold where there was once a shampoo holder. Additionally, the elevators were a bit too hot and felt like a sauna. Nevertheless, It was an enjoyable stay.
Customer service was exceptional at this hotel! The girls at the desk go above and beyond! In the evening they got us checked in, gave us a coupon for where we said we were going to eat and got us signed up to be taken to the cruise port the next day. In the morning I realized I didn’t have a paper printed I needed and the girl at the desk went above and beyond to help me with my phone to get it sent so she could print it for me. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was GREAT!
This was a wonderful place to stay the night before leaving on our cruise! Everyone was very nice. The room looks like it has been renovated recently. There's some wear, but nothing too crazy. The beds were very comfortable and you can't beat the location. Breakfast was great and had decent options. Price can't be beat. This isn't the Ritz, but it was a good place to stay for the night!
